Ingredients:
- 1 cup freshly brewed coffee
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Cocoa powder (optional)
Instructions:
- Brew a strong cup of coffee using your preferred method, we recommend our House Blend
- In a small saucepan, combine the milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and pinch of salt. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently, until it comes to a simmer.
- Remove the saucepan from heat, and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the hot cocoa mixture into your brewed coffee and stir well to combine.
- If desired, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
- Enjoy your homemade Mocha Hot Cocoa while it's still warm.
Note: You can make some variations to this recipe, you could use chocolate chips instead of cocoa powder, or even add a hint of cinnamon or nutmeg to give it a special twist. You could also use a chocolate syrup instead of cocoa powder to make it more rich and chocolatey. You can also adjust the sweetness level to your liking by adding more or less sugar.
This recipe serves 1, but you can easily scale it up for more servings. Mocha Hot Cocoa is a perfect winter treat, it's decadent and chocolatey and the combination of coffee and cocoa is divine, making it perfect for sipping by the fire or as a dessert drink.
