Cracked Coffee Cold Brew: The Ultimate Summertime Treat

Want to up your cold brew game with a fun and delicious twist? We took a crack at the viral “Cracked Coffee," a cold brew experience for summer that's as fun to make as it is to drink. This recipe features our very own Five Star Cold Brew Blend, paired with a touch of chocolatey magic.

Let’s get cracking!

Ingredients:

- Cold Brew made with our Cold Brew Blend

- Shell chocolate or melted chocolate Ice cubes

- Milk or creamer of choice (we love a good splash of almond or oat milk)

- Plastic cup (the key to our cracking fun, please be conscious and re-use plastic cups instead of using a new single-use plastic cup each time)

Instructions:

1. Prep the Cup:

Start by giving your plastic cup a quick rinse and shake off the excess water. This little trick will help the chocolate crack even better later on.

2. Coat with Chocolate:

Take your shell chocolate or melted chocolate and pour a generous amount into the cup. Swirl it around to coat the entire inside surface evenly. Make it THICK.

Place the cup in the freezer for about 10 minutes or so, or until the chocolate has hardened completely.

3. Build Your Brew:

Once your chocolate shell is set, fill the cup with ice cubes. We recommend about three-quarters full to leave room for your cold brew and milk.

Pour in the Five Star Cold Brew, leaving some space at the top for milk or creamer. 

4. Add the Finishing Touch:

Top off your drink with your favorite milk or creamer. Whether you prefer the creaminess of whole milk or the nutty notes of almond milk, it’s all about personal preference here.

Make note: there is already chocolate on the cup will melt and add sweetness to your drink.

The Fun Part: Cracking the Chocolate:

Now for the grand finale! Gently squeeze the sides of the plastic cup. You should hear and see the chocolate shell crack. If you want even more cracking action, you can tap the cup lightly on a hard surface.
